I’m talking about these comments I see where people encourage the idea that Diablo 1’s old engine could be updated so that it worked like Diablo 2’s engine. Graphically as a simple remaster, I assume it would work fine. Due to such randomly generated items and hack and slash nature the game is sometimes considered as a rogue like.TSBoyer I do not see how it would not work seeing as how the Diablo II: Ressurected engine seems to be fully 3D and not pre-rendered and the main challenges dealing with aspect ratio, resolution and tile placement should not be an issue from a programming standpoint seeing as they could use the exact same SDK they just created for a Diablo I remake just as easily as they could make a theoretical (not real) Act 6.
